Cheyenne Regional Medical Center CEO Margo Karsten says a team which has been working to fix problems with the billing system seems to be making progress.

When she assumed leadership of the hospital Karsten said one of her goals was to reduce the widespread number of complaints patients seem to have about hospital billing practices.

She says the situation seems to be improving as she is hearing fewer complaints about billing these days, although she adds "As soon as I say that something will happen".

CRMC held a number of public forums on billing issues in December 2014 through February of this year. Prior to that Karsten had said the hospital would work on billing issues "until we get this right".
