Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is forming a care alliance with Children's Hospital Colorado to provide enhanced pediatric care in Laramie County and the surrounding region.

"Our hospital and medical community want the best for our patients, their families and our community," said Margo Karsten, Chief Executive Officer of CRMC. "This agreement will help ensure our children and their families have the specialty care they need, when they need it, with most of it being provided close to home."

Over the next few months, CRMC and Children’s Hospital Colorado will conduct a needs assessment and prioritize enhancements in the areas of staff education, shared protocols, outpatient specialty clinics and support of CRMC’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric services.

"Specialists from Children’s Colorado and the CU School of Medicine have worked closely with local pediatricians and other primary care providers for many years to ensure children in this region have access to specialized care in endocrinology, cardiology, hematology, oncology, physical medicine and rehabilitation," said Dr. Andrew Rose, Pediatrician with Cheyenne Children’s Clinic and Cheyenne Regional Medical Group. "This care alliance expands on that foundation and will enhance the capabilities of CRMC to provide care to infants and children in southeastern Wyoming."
