Most people only watch the sport of Curling every four years during the Winter Olympics. But did you know there are hundreds of curlers here in Wyoming?

In fact, there are three different curling clubs in the Cowboy State; one in Casper, one in Cody and one in Sheridan.

The Casper Curling Club is the largest in the state, holding weekly Sunday night meetings between November and March at the Casper Ice Arena.

Several other venues across the state offer a different take on the sport. The annual Turkey Curling Tournament is hosted by the Laramie Ice and Events Center.

Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs also hosts an annual Turkey Curling competition.

Not to be outdone, the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center has replaced the curling stone with frozen chickens for their annual fundraiser.
