The word from the Space Folks is that our little ol planet Earth has a new moon! According to EarthSKy.org, the International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Center announced that a new tiny moon.

The 'moon' is an object that was captured into Earth's orbit about three years about and identified in mid-February. The object has been named 2020 CD3. Scientists don't know what the object is made of exactly, more observation is needed.

"The object is very small and faint. Sunlight reflected from it helps provide an estimate of its diameter. The estimate is about 6 to 12 feet (1.9-3.5 meters) at this time, but that could easily change." - EarthSKy.org
