We’ve been watching the Front Range grow for decades, but this view from space puts our neighborhood into perspective, courtesy of NASA and Astronaut Shane Kimbrough ‏@astro_kimbrough who was passing by in low earth orbit.

His tweet: Check out this amazing view of the Front Range Urban Corridor from Astronaut Shane Kimbrough as the International Space Station passed overhead early this morning! Overlayed some city names on it. The original image can be found a thttps://twitter.com/astro_kimbrough.

The International Space Station (ISS) is a space station, or a habitable artificial satellite, in low Earth orbit. Its first component launched into orbit in 1998, and the ISS is now the largest artificial body in orbit and can often be seen with the naked eye from Earth. Thanks also to US National Weather Service.
