Escaped Wyoming Inmates Still at Large
Two men who escaped from the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp near Newcastle late Sunday are still at large, authorities say.
Jason Green and Robert Simpson were discovered to be missing from the facility at 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
A City of Newcastle vehicle was stolen that night, according to the Department of Corrections. It's a 2002 Ford F-150 extended cab work truck, tan in color with a white flatbed and toolboxes on the sides. The vehicle has a yellow mini light bar on the roof and unit number 71 printed on both sides of the cab, near the doors.
Green, 48, is described as standing 5'10" tall and weighing roughly 170 pounds. He's a white male with gray hair and blue eyes. Green was last seen wearing brown tortoise-shell eyeglasses. He has no distinguishing scars or tattoos.
Simpson, 30, is also 5'10" tall and weighs roughly 165 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He has scars on the bridge of his nose, his right forearm and his left hand. He also has a tattoo of a domino and "hell cat" on his right arm with other tattoos on his chest, abdomen and back.
Simpson was last seen with a beard and sometimes has black eyeglasses.
Green was sentenced to three to eight years for larceny in 2015. Simpson was sentenced to a term of five to 15 years back in 2012 for aggravated burglary with a weapon.
Authorities believe they left the facility with a dog, described as a black lab mix. Simpson had been assigned to the Project Love Dog Program prior to his escape.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement immediately.
