Good news, Cheyenne. The Old Farmer's Almanac is calling for a decent winter on the Front Range.

"Winter will be warmer than normal, with slightly below-normal precipitation," they predicted in their 2019 Long-Range Weather Forecast for the High Plains region.

The Almanac projects mild weather through November, followed by a cold, snowy December and above average temperatures in January and February. Their outlook also calls for heavy snowfall in late December, late January, and late March.

Looking ahead to the spring, they anticipate April and May will be warm, but rainier than usual.

Since 1792, the almanac has predicted future weather patterns across the country with an 80% accuracy rate (or so they claim). Hopefully, they're right this winter. One thing's for sure, we can always expect plenty of wind in Wyoming.
