FCC Regulations On The Internet Could Be Decided This Week Feb 26

Critics of the Federal Election Commission and the Federal Communications Commissions set to regulate the internet, are up in arms over potential changes.The FCC is trying to toy with all aspects of what we know as the internet. However, critics against the agency have been known as pointing out that the speed of the internet and our speech freedoms are now in jeopardy.

In a recent video, FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai stated, "It is a monumental shift." He went on to elaborate on what he meant by that, saying, " It micromanages virtually every aspect on how the internet operates."

He further described what could potentially be "new operations" of the internet, if passed by the FCC, as being more expensive with billions of dollars in taxes for users, micromanagement of operations, slower broadband speeds, as they experience in Europe and lawsuits galore.

The regulation is bound with over 300 pages and the public will not be able to view it until after the decision has been made. This could really bring big changes to the internet.

They are set to vote on this Thursday, February 26, 2015.
