Laramie County Fire District two spokesman Lew Simpson says a combination of warm weather, low humidity and breezy conditions have led the district to issue a  warning about the high fire danger in the county. Simpson says that means residents should be especially careful with controlled burns.

He says precautions should include such things as avoiding controlled burns during windy conditions, keeping fires small and isolated from other flammable materials, and never leaving a fire unattended. Simpson also says people should call fire dispatch at 637-6410 both when they begin a controlled burn and when it is over.
