When he was only eight years old, Michael Pearlman landed his first movie role, co-staring with Paul Simon in the film One Trick Pony.

After appearing in several made-for-television movies, Pearlman joined the cast of the hit sitcom Charles in Charge, playing the role of Jason Pembroke in over twenty episodes from 1984 - 1987.

Like many other child stars, his fame was short lived. A guest role on the CBS series Kate & Allie would eventually be the final credit of his acting career.

Luckily, he grew up to be a pretty normal kid. After Hollywood, his family moved to New York.  Then it was on to college to study journalism at the University of Southern California.

After earning a degree from New York University, Pearlman came to Wyoming, working as a journalist in Jackson Hole and Sheridan.

In 2011, Pearlman and his family moved to Cheyenne, where he's now a copywriter for Sierra Trading Post.

In an interview with the retro pop culture website Just My Show, Pearlman reflected on the challenges of being a child actor.
