Green Giant Determined America’s Favorite Veggie — Do We Agree?
Unfortunately it doesn't look like guacamole was an option on this survey. And yes, guac is still extra.
I know what you're thinking, "America's Favorite Vegetable? Is that a joke?" No one likes vegetables enough to say they have a favorite, right? Well, I would have to disagree with you. I crave fruits and veggies in the summer time when other foods can feel too heavy in the heat. And if you throw them on the grill, I'm in!
Regardless of the time of year, Green Giant conducted a survey to determine the top veggies in each state. With 47 percent of the vote, broccoli is the chosen one. It looks like cucumbers, corn, carrots, peas, green beans and potatoes were the only other veggies represented on their list.
What about the Cowboy state?
As it turns out, we like a veggie that sticks to our bones... the potato. I've always thought of potatoes as more of a starch than a strict veggie. However, I don't think anyone will complain about potatoes being considered a (healthy) vegetable. Especially since they are the first ingredient in Potato Oles.
Am I right?
