George R. R. Martin is the author of the book series that "Game of Thrones" is based on... and he's raising money for a wolf sanctuary in New Mexico. If you're willing to contribute $20,000, you could have a character named after you in one of his future installments.  And your character will be killed, in a very grim manner. He set up a fundraising account on Prizeo.com.

Other prizes still available include:  Having breakfast with Martin ($15,000), tickets to the 'Game of Thrones' Season Five premiere ($7,500), and even Martin's trademark hat, which is "worn" ($7,500). You can also win a day with George, with details here.

BTW - Game Of Thrones just surpassed The Sopranos as HBO's most popular show ever, with an average gross audience of 18.4 million viewers for its ongoing fourth season.  It's the highest total ever for a season of an HBO series, topping the 18.2 million that the fourth season of The Sopranos drew back in 2002.

Are you ready to be on it, in name only?
