An organization which is so new it does not yet have a formal name is looking for four people to serve on it’s board of directors, according to Leigh West, Vice President for Marketing at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

The hospital earlier this year pledged $250,000 to create an organization to enhance and preserve the historic character of neighborhoods near CRMC. West says creating a board of directors is the first step in developing the organization, which is  working under the name ”Historic Cheyenne”.

West is a member of the new organization’s core committee. She says the primary criteria for the board of directors is an interest in the historic neighborhoods near the hospital, although some previous experience on community or not-for-profit boards might also be helpful. Anyone interested in serving is being asked to contact Bob Bradshaw, City of Cheyenne Special Projects Director. His e-mail address is bbradshaw@cheyennecity.org. West says the deadline for applications is July 13.
