The Goodguys 15th Colorado Nationals Car Show is a giant outdoor automotive festival featuring over 1,500 hot rods, custom cars, classics, muscle cars and trucks through 1972 vintage. The show fills the entire grounds of The Ranch Events Complex with colorful custom and classic cars, vendor exhibits, Goodguys AutoCross (electronically timed road course to test vehicle performance), an automotive swap meet, cars for sale corral, live music by The Backline on Saturday and Sunday, kid’s activities and other family oriented entertainment.

The Colorado Nationals is the 6th of 20 national events produced by the California based Goodguys Rod & Custom Association. The Ranch is the perfect setting to feature some of the finest classic cars and hot rods, classics and customs from the Midwest and all parts of the US. Local talent and hot rod builder Eric Peratt of Pinkee’s Rod Shop will be on hand to personally select the “Builder’s Choice” awards. A Builder’s Choice award is the highest honor a customized car can receive at a Goodguys event. Only ten Builder’s Choice awards are given out.

EVENT FEATURES:

CAR SHOW:

Over 1,500 Hot Rods, Customs, Classic Cars, Street Machines, Muscle Cars and Trucks through 1972 vintage will fill the scenic grounds of The Ranch. Flamin’ hot Street Rods, tail draggin’ 50s Customs, Tri-Five Chevy’s, mega horsepower Street Machines and Muscle Cars and hundreds of other specialty vehicles will be on display. Fans can get up close and see the hottest machines in the Mile High State.

MANUFACTURER’S EXHIBITS:

Performance automotive companies will exhibit products and hold demonstrations throughout the show. Enthusiasts will get the chance to talk directly with manufacturer representatives, buy automotive related products at special prices and ask consumer related questions.

GOODGUYS AUTOCROSS:

Hot rods and muscle cars will be in action all three days making runs through the electronically timed Goodguys AutoCross course. The course is approx. 1000 ft in length and features tight turns with rapid acceleration and deceleration. Speeds average 20-30mph while testing to extreme limits the vehicle’s performance capabilities. Winners receive gift certificates from sponsors including tires and suspension equipment and other performance goodies.

SUPER SUNDAY GET-TOGETHER:

Held on Sunday, June 10th only, the Goodguys Super Sunday Get-Together is a special event inside the event which welcomes all years, makes and models of American powered cars and trucks. Late model American muscle like the new generation Camaro, Mustang, GTO, Challenger, Charger and more are welcome to show alongside the vintage cars.

SWAP MEET & CAR CORRAL:

The automotive swap meet will offer rare and hard to find automotive parts and equipment. The swap meet is a great place to get used automotive stuff at rock bottom prices! The car corral is the place to find great deals on all kinds of automobiles. Great buys will be featured in this high performance used car lot! Hundreds cars for sale are expected.

BUILDER’S CHOICE AWARDS:

Awards play a big role in any automotive event, and the Nashville Nationals will offer plenty. Hot rod builder  Eric Peratt of Pinkee’s Rod Shop in Windsor will be on hand throughout the weekend to hand-pick the “Builder’s Choice” awards. The Builder’s Choice awards are hand crafted by their namesake to honor the top ten cars at the event. Other-special awards like the “Low Lid” will go to the hot rod or custom car with the lowest roof. The “Homebuilt Heaven” pick goes to a rod or custom that was completely built and fabricated by the owner in his or her own garage.
