Collective Soul & 307 Departure Set To Rock Gaslight Social Wednesday

It's been a fun summer of exciting concerts in Casper, and there are still some big shows on the calendar. For instance, Collective Soul with special guests 307 Departure at the Gaslight Social on Wednesday night (8/12).

If you're looking for a great show, plan to check this show out. I had a chance to see Collective Soul around Y2K, and I'm excited for you to check them out. Over the years, I've had the luxury of seeing thousands of shows in different venues across the country, and when a show like the one Collective Soul put on that night, 26 or so years later, sticks out as one of the best I've seen, you know they put on a fantastic show.

The Collective Soul show that I saw was in a club called the Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri. The band was melting faces with their rocking tunes when lead singer Ed Roland went on a walkabout across the balcony of the DJ booth high above the crowd and put a charge into every person; that was something I've never felt. The high that we all got from that show was the feeling that you want from a live show.

It was awesome.

I think it's fantastic that shows of this caliber pass through Casper, and right before Collective Soul heads to Sturgis, too. You know they're going to be fired up and ready to rock Casper.
