Colorado was one of the very first states to legalize marijuana use; Loveland had decided to not take part in dispensary sales in 2013. In the summer of 2026, sales returned after voters gave their "O.K." in 2024.

Where is Loveland's Natural Alternatives Retail Marijuana Shop?

In all honesty, I think Natural Alternatives (NA) Loveland spot, just north of Eisenhower Boulevard along Lincoln Avenue, is a good spot. Easy to get in and out of, not near any schools (though it is kind of close to Dairy Queen,) and is large enough for their operation. NA dates back to their opening in 2014 in Fort Collins for medicinal, then expanding to recreational in 2016.

How Do Things Go Once Inside Loveland's First New Dispensary?

To me, the process was made up of sections: The I.D. section, the section where you and a "Budtender" discuss what you're going to get (my "Budtender" was very helpful,) then it's on to pay for, then receive, your purchase. Even the paying seemed to be "sectioned" - you put your money into a bin, then they put your product into another bin; as in they can't hand anything directly to you.

How Much Do You Get for Your Money at NA Loveland?

I ended up getting a small bottle of Wana edibles, with just 1mg of THC. The bottle had eight gummies, at $14. A friend of mine who's well-versed in all of this, did state that he found Loveland's NA to have prices that are about double those that you'll find at LivWell in Berthoud.
