”Redeyes” To Do Flyover At Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo Saturday

The 120th Fighter Squadron ''Redeyes" of the 140th Wing of the Colorado Air National Guard will be doing flyovers at Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeos on July 18th and again on July 23.

That's according to a CFD news release..

According to the release, the jets were scheduled to arrive on July 17, and fly over the rodeo on July 18th, and depart on July 19th. They will then return for another flyover at the July 23 rodeo.

Flyover Organized By Cheyenne Native

The release says the flyover was organized by "U.S. Air Force Capt. Reed "Roller" Barrett — a Cheyenne native, University of Wyoming graduate, and cowboy at heart — who grew up watching jets streak across this same Wyoming sky at CFD."

That of course, is a reference to the Air Force Thunderbirds performances at CFD that have been a staple of the 'Daddy of 'em All" for many years.

The Redeyes fly the Block 30 F-16C Flying Falcon, also known as ''The Viper."

Other CFD events slated for Saturday, July 18 include the first of Four Grand Parades. The parade will step off at 9 a.m. and generally continue for about 90 minutes or so.
