Burglary and Thefts

Then, at 12:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, inmate Hernandez was served with two felony warrants out of Laramie County Circuit Court, one for burglary and theft - fifth or subsequent and the other for theft - fifth or subsequent, all felonies punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.

It's alleged that on or about Dec. 31, 2025, Hernandez entered a vehicle and took another person's property, and that on or about Monday, Jan. 5, he took another person's property.

Initial Court Appearance

On Thursday, Feb. 12, Hernandez was seen in Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the new burglary and theft charges.

Forwood appointed Hernandez a public defender then asked the state for their recommendation on bond.

"He's also on felony probation that has been revoked and so I think he's sitting on that as well, but it's not my case, I'm not sure where they're at with that, so I'm not sure he's getting out on this anyway," the state said. "But the two felony charges given his history, the state's going to ask for a $3,000 cash bond."

Bond Set at $5,000 Cash

"I'm going to go a little bit higher and make it a $5,000 cash bond," Forwood told Hernandez. "If you're able to post bond, the court will set conditions at that time."

Forwood then set Hernandez's preliminary hearing for Friday, Feb. 20, at 10:30 a.m.

Please remember that all defendants are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
