Suspected Nebraska Car Thief Arrested in Cheyenne
A 34-year-old Kimball, Nebraska man is facing a felony theft charge after he was reportedly caught driving a stolen car in Cheyenne.

According to a booking sheet, John Warren Rousseau-Pecenka was stopped in the 200 block of Avenue D at about 2:25 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, after a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy spotted him driving east on East Fox Farm Road in a Chevrolet Lumina that was reported stolen out of Kimball County, Nebraska.
The deputy says Rousseau-Pecenka, the sole occupant, removed the scissors from the punched-out ignition on command.
Rousseau-Pecenka reportedly told the deputy that Andy gave him permission to use the car, but the deputy says the car was registered to Lynn White.
The deputy also spoke with a Kimball County Sheriff's deputy who said no one had permission to drive the car.
Rousseau-Pecenka was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on a single count of felony theft, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
He made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Thursday afternoon, during which his bond was set at $2,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 3.
APRIL 30 UPDATE:
According to the Pine Bluffs Police Department, Rousseau-Pecenka was caught on video breaking into the coin machine at the car wash in town.
The break-in was reported on April 18.
Rousseau-Pecenka was subsequently charged with felony burglary, a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
He was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday morning, during which his bond was set at $5,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 7 at 10:30 a.m.
MAY 1 UPDATE:
According to the Laramie County Sheriff's Office, Rousseau-Pecenka, during an interview, admitted to damaging the vacuums at the Oasis Car Wash at 711 S. Greeley Highway.
The agency says he caused $600 worth of damage.
Rousseau-Pecenka was subsequently charged with misdemeanor property destruction and was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court on Wednesday morning.
His bond was set at $600 cash and his arraignment was scheduled for May 7 at 10:30 a.m.
