Coloradans Behind $10K+ Shoplifting Spree in Cheyenne, Police Say
Two Greeley, Colorado, residents are facing charges in Laramie County after reportedly stealing more than $10,000 worth of merchandise from Kohl's and Ulta Beauty in Cheyenne.
Police Called to Shoplifting at Ulta Beauty
According to booking sheets, police were dispatched to a shoplifting at Ulta Beauty at Frontier Mall around 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.
Police say the reporting party stated a male and female in hoodies, with their hoods up, sprinted into the store, stole merchandise, sprinted out of the store, and left in a white Ford Fusion with blue wheels and no license plates.

Suspects Spotted at Target, Arrested
Police say that at the same time, Crime Prevention Team officers were conducting shoplifting enforcement at Target when they observed the suspect vehicle pull into the parking lot.
Police say the suspects, later identified as 31-year-old Raul Retana Rojas and 25-year-old Johanna Gutierrez, parked directly next to a sergeant who was in an unmarked vehicle, and the sergeant saw them pull their hoods up, put on face masks, and run into the store.
The two were subsequently arrested, and a quick search of their car reportedly revealed numerous boxes of perfume and cosmetics stolen from Ulta Beauty.
Police say the items were seized and totaled more than $1,000.
Duo Charged With Felony Theft
Rojas and Gutierrez were both charged with felony theft, and Gutierrez was also charged with two misdemeanors, including possession of a controlled substance in pill or capsule form and interference with a peace officer - no injury.
The two made their initial appearances in Laramie County Circuit Court on Thursday, March 6.
Rojas's bond was set at $10,000 cash and Gutierrez's at $5,000 cash, and their preliminary hearings were scheduled for Friday, March 14, at 9 a.m.
ICE Detainer
Police spokeswoman Alex Farkas says officers later learned that Gutierrez is an undocumented immigrant, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) placed a detainer on her after confirming her status.
Kohl's Shopliftings
Farkas says officers also believe that Gutierrez and Rojas shoplifted from Kohl's five days ago and that Gutierrez hit Kohl's late last year.
Additional Charges Pending
According to Circuit Court, new charges were filed against the duo after jail court on Friday, March 7, meaning the two will likely be back in court on Monday, March 10.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
