Traffic Stop Leads to Wanted Cheyenne Man's Arrest, Felony Charge
According to arrest records, it all started on Saturday, April 6, after police stopped a vehicle matching the description of a felony vehicle theft suspect at 108 W. 8th Street.
Police say the passenger was identified as Nash Michael Samay-Houle, the suspect identified in a possible vehicle theft.
When police ran Samay-Houle's name, they discovered he had a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of a controlled substance.
Laramie County Circuit Court Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on March 20, 2024.
Samay-Houle was arrested on the warrant and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center for booking.
Police say during a strip search, deputies found fentanyl in Samay-Houle's belly button.

On Monday morning, Samay-Houle was seen in Circuit Court on the felony charge and a failure to comply warrant signed by Williams for violating his bond conditions on original charges of DUI-incapable, driving under suspension, open container, and failure to maintain a single lane.
His total bond was set at $30,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 17 at 1:30 p.m.
He's scheduled to appear in drug court this afternoon, April 10, on his failure to appear warrant.
