$15K Cash Bond Set for Cheyenne Man Charged With Drug Possession

A 32-year-old Cheyenne man has been charged with four counts of drug possession, including three felony counts, following a drug bust at a Cheyenne gas station.

According to a booking sheet, police were called to the Sinclair at 820 W. Lincolnway at 7:19 p.m. on Saturday, April 13 for a welfare check.

Welfare Check at Cheyenne Gas Station Results in Drug Bust

Police say Brady Arthur Mitchell was sitting in a van with a small hatchet next to him, and when they contacted him, he started digging around in the van.

When police asked Mitchell to step out of the van and pat him down for weapons, they reportedly found a glass pipe and two metal straws with burnt residue inside of them.

Police say after a search, Mitchell was found to be in possession of 12 ounces of marijuana, 3.75 grams of fentanyl, 3.31 grams of Xanax, and a small clear plastic baggie containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine.

Police say Mitchell also had a loaded .22 caliber revolver in his waistband.

Mitchell was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for felony possession of marijuana, fentanyl, and Xanax, and misdemeanor possession of methamphetamine.

He made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday morning, during which his bond was set at $15,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for April 22 at 10:30 a.m.
