Flood Watch Issued For Cheyenne, Laramie, Casper, SE Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of southeast Wyoming from Thursday afternoon into Friday night
The watch area includes the communities of Cheyenne, Laramie, Torrington, Wheatland, Douglas and Casper.
The agency posted this statement on it's website:
Scattered to numerous slow-moving thunderstorms will begin to spread across the forecast region Thursday afternoon, and persist occasionally through Friday afternoon. Heavy rainfall is expected where thunderstorms persist for prolonged periods of time. Flooding is possible in areas due to saturated soils. Find your local forecast at weather.gov/cys

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 68. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
