
Man Facing Felony Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop in Cheyenne
A 32-year-old Melbeta, Nebraska man is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop in south Cheyenne.
According to a booking sheet, Gregorio Guerra was arrested at 6:41 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, after a Wyoming Highway Patrol sergeant stopped him for failing to maintain his lane of travel and following too close at mile marker 8 on U.S. 85.
The sergeant reportedly smelled the odor of raw marijuana coming from Guerra's truck, and a subsequent search revealed 21 grams of marijuana and 470 grams (1.04 pounds) of methamphetamine.

Guerra was later charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, felony possession of methamphetamine, and felony manufacture or delivery.
He's currently out of jail on a $5,000 cash bond and is scheduled to be back in Laramie County Circuit Court next Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. for his preliminary hearing.
