A group of airmen with the 37th Helicopter Squadron at F.E. Warren Air Force Base were injured Wednesday morning when their Huey crashed.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Cheyenne Regional Airport, near the Wyoming Air National Guard hangar.

According to a news release from the base, the UH-1N helicopter was conducting routine training and experienced a hard landing.

"No fatalities and only non-life-threatening injuries have been reported," the base said. "The crew is being evaluated at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center."

The base says emergency responders are on the scene.

The base says there were three crew members on board.


5:32 P.M. UPDATE:

The three crew members have been released from the hospital.

“I would like to personally thank the first responders from the Wyoming Air National Guard and American Medical Response who arrived on the scene and ensured everyone remained safe,” said 90th Missile Wing Commander Col. Johnny Galbert.

“We are thankful there were no major injuries," Galbert added.
