The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says strong winds and a high fire danger will prevail in southeast Wyoming to start the weekend on Saturday before teh arrival of cooler, wetter weather on Sunday.

The agency posted the following on its website: One more dry and windy day is expected Saturday before a weak cold front brings slightly cooler temperatures and improved moisture in on Sunday. High Wind Warnings continue through Saturday morning in the wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming, and Red Flag Warnings continue through 5PM Saturday for portions of the High Plains along and south of the North Platte River Valley. Avoid open burning or any activities that could cause a spark!
