Jackson Hole High School pulled the plug on "America Day" last week announcing they were concerned the celebration would alienate and offend some of their students.

Fox News reports that Activities Director Mike Hansen said a number of students "felt targeted and singled out by this day."

In the past, America Day was a homecoming week tradition at JHHS. Students were encouraged to wear red, white, and blue and display American flags.

Despite the ban, a number of students at Jackson Hole High School attended school with red, white, and blue clothing to protest the decision.
