The 11th Annual Backcountry Film Festival 2016 is on in Laramie tonight. Its a celebration of the human-powered winter experience. Wild Wyoming is working to protect Wyoming’s public wild lands.

Created in 2004 to highlight Winter Wildlands Alliance's efforts to preserve and promote winter landscapes for human-powered users, the festival travels to more than 100 locations around the world in Antarctica, Europe, Australia, Asia, Canada and America.

Funds raised at each event stay in local communities to support like-minded organizations in their efforts to conserve spectacular wild places through education and promotion of awareness of winter management issues.
