The Laramie County Sheriff's Office announced the addition of two new dual-purpose K-9 teams on Tuesday.

The agency says the teams -- which consist of K-9 Hilde and her handler Sgt. Gilmore and K-9 Arie and his handler Deputy Grimm -- recently attended a six-week course at Vohne Liche Kennels in Denver, Indiana.

Both teams trained extensively in narcotics detection, apprehension, building search and suspect tracking.

The agency says the teams will enhance their efforts in crime prevention and detection, criminal apprehension, officer safety and service to the community.
