Grab your fishing rods and your long johns, ice fishing is back at Ocean Lake to raise money for a five-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with diabetes, according to County 10.

Starting this Friday, January 11th, the eighth annual ice fishing tournament will take place.  Folks will start dropping their lines in the water and raising money for William Apodaca and his family.  The family will get half of each entry fee to help with medical expenses and travel to Colorado for treatment.  Each year between $5,000-$6,000 is rasied.  The tournament will last all weekend long.

There will be prizes first, second and third place prizes for largest Walleye, Perch, and Ling, plus the largest sucker or carp and a chili cook-off competition on Sunday.  Make sure you bring cash for the silent auction.
