Well, this is something you don't see every day. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen an SUV (or any kind of vehicle) get tangled up in power lines like this. I've seen crashes into power poles where lines have come down, but I've never actually seen a vehicle tangled up in the actual power lines. And the lines didn't even get disconnected.

Our friends at CBS Denver say that an SUV veered off of HWY 115 in Colorado Springs and crashed when a driver, who authorities believe had a medical issue, was driving northbound. The driver crossed the southbound lanes and hit guy wires connected to some power lines and poles, and this was the result.

Miraculously, there were no injuries. In fact, the driver got out of the car, which is something you should never do if you're around some downed powerlines, and was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and further observation.

It took emergency responders about 45 minutes to safely free the driver, through the driver’s door, from the dangling vehicle.

I think the miraculous thing about this crash, other than nobody was injured, is the fact that no power lines came loose or disconnected in the incident. A full investigation into the cause of the crash is still going on but wow, what a crazy day down in the Springs.
