New Cheyenne Phone Scam

The Cheyenne Police Department has recently had a number of people calling about a new robo-call scam targeting people around Cheyenne.

Calls are said to be seeking donations for the “American Police Officers Association.” The numbers appear to come from a “307” number but are probably a computer spoofing the local area code.

“The CPD is not seeking donations and we would not be soliciting donations over the phone. Please do not fall for this. Do not give scammers your money.”
