New “Luxury” Movie Theater Opens This Week in Fort Collins

Imagine watching a movie in a leather recliner while eating pizza and drinking beer. Now, imagine you're actually in a movie theater. This week, movie goers in Fort Collins will flock to the Foothills Mall for the grand opening of the new Cinemark Movie Bistro and XD.

According to Cinemark officials, the theater will offer a "brand new experience" for movie lovers. It includes nine auditoriums, each outfitted with recliners that feature footrests, tray tables and cup holders. Each auditorium will have state of the art surround sound and one will include  an XD "extreme digital" projection screen.

It gets better. In addition to typical movie fare like popcorn, candy and soda, the wait staff will also deliver items from the theater's bistro to your seat, including pizza, sandwiches, salads, burgers, appetizers, beer, wine, mixed drinks, coffee and ice cream.

The theater will also give patrons the option of purchasing reserved seats in place of standard general admission seating.
