The results are in and this year's teacher of the year in Laramie County School District #2 is, Dustin Lee out of Pine Bluffs, according to County 17.

Shelley Hamel, the Cheif Academic Officer for the Wyoming Department of Education just announced Monday all the winners for teacher of the year.  Dustin Lee of Pine Bluffs was fortunate enough to win this award for his district.  Dustin has been teaching for quite some time, 16 years to be exact.  Mr. Lee is the Spanish teacher for grades 7th-12th at Pine Bluffs Jr./Sr. High Schools.  He has been with Pine Bluffs for 14 years, his first two years were in Weeping Water, Nebraska.  Not only does he teach Spanish but Dustin is the coach for track and field.

In 2008, he and coach Dan Marquart of Burn High School formed the district's first-ever cross country team.  Dan resigned and Cole Manlove took over, since then Dustin and Cole have shared eight state title together and one runner-up for the girl's team.  Dustin resigned from coaching cross country last year to spend more time with his family.

Dustin and his wife moved to Pine Bluffs from Nebraska in 2005 and haven't looked back since.  They are raising three young boys there and couldn't be happier with the town.
