The idea of a four-day school week seems to be a hot topic in Wyoming.

Trustees in Sweetwater County School District#1 voted 4-3 Monday night against changing to a four-day-a-week schedule.

But Laramie County School Distirct#2 has been on a four-day-a-week schedule for several years. Trustees in the Campbell County School District voted in November in favor of a four-day-a-week schedule starting this fall. About half of the school districts in Colorado are also on a four-day week schedule.

Supporters of the shorter school week claim it enhances learning and helps cut costs. Opponents dispute those claims.

So what do you think? Should Cheyenne schools consider a four-day-per-week schedule? Or do you prefer the traditional five days per week?

We'll publish the results of our survey on Monday, April 15.
