CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming House Speaker Tom Lubnau says state schools Superintendent Cindy Hill isn't cooperating with a special committee's investigation into her management of the Wyoming Education Department.

The Gillette Republican sent a letter to Hill on Friday saying her office intentionally submitted thousands of irrelevant and unorganized documents in response to two subpoena requests by the committee.

Hill told The Associated Press in response that she submitted everything from her office because the subpoena requests were so broad. She says the committee has more resources than her office and can sift through the documents to find what it needs.

Depending on its findings, the panel could recommend that the full House of Representatives initiate impeachment proceedings against Hill, who denies any wrongdoing.
