Safety Concerns Cut Short Cheyenne Nitro Circus [Video]
A performance of the Nitro Circus at Big Country Speedway in Cheyenne was cut short on Sunday night by an accident followed by concerns about lighting, according to a person who was at the event.
The eyewitness told Town Squaremedia of Cheyenne that an accident involving multiple performers at the event happened shortly before 8 p.m.
The witness said that somewhere between half an hour and 45 minutes after the accident it was announced that concerns about lighting in the area, as well as the fact an accident had already occurred, prompted the cancellation of the rest of the performance.
Big Country Speedway posted the following statement on their Facebook page on Monday morning:
"Last night did not go how Big Country Speedway/RDM would have liked to seen it go. We are very disappointed about Nitro Circus call. But we want to thank all the volunteers that came out to help we truly appreciate you and we also want to thank the fans for their support and understanding."
Calls to Big Country Speedway and Nitro Circus were not immediately returned.
We will report further details as soon as they become available. The video is courtesy of Jaimel Blajszczak.
