Seeking Alpha, a financial news and market tracker, reported Thursday, October 23, that Sears Holdings will close 55 Kmart stores, 30 Sears department stores and 31 Sears Auto Centers.

Many of those stores are located in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Indiana according to Seeking Alpha. They say closures are also expected in Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, new York, Ohio, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

No Wyoming or Colorado stores were on the Seeking Alpha closure list. After cutting nearly 100 stores during the first half of 2014, the company had nearly 800 Sears stores and 1,100 Kmart stores still open across the country.

Sears Holdings disputes the report of 116 store closures and nearly 6,100 layoffs.
