The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning travelers to expect slick, snow-covered roads in much of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle on Saturday and into Sunday.

The agency posted this statement on its website:

''Periods of moderate to heavy snowfall expected to move across the region today with updated winter weather advisories now including the Elk Mountain/Arlington area in Wyoming and Dawes and Box Butte Counties in the Nebraska Panhandle. Prepare for areas of slick to snow-covered roadways and limited visibility in the heavier snow bands.''
