A passing cold front this afternoon will bring along initial rain showers before cooling off to freezing and turning to snow. High-resolution model solutions are showing the potential for a moderate to heavy snow band moving south-southeastward along the I-25 corridor from Douglas to Cheyenne and from Laramie to the Nebraska state line along I-80 between the hours of 3 PM today and 7 PM tonight. Depending on how much snow falls and overall traffic volume, area roadways may become slick with snow cover and/or black ice.
