"Remember, the hospitalizations due to COVID-19 - 99.8% of them are people who have not had their vaccine," he said. "So those of you out there who have not had a vaccine; you're a sitting duck right now."
The Wyoming Departed of Health has recently announced that adults with high-risk medical conditions should sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it is available to them which, in many Wyoming counties, may be right now, according to the Department of Health.
The Wyoming Department of Health confirmed the state's first case of the "UK Variant" of the COVID-19 virus, otherwise known as B.1.1.7. on Saturday. The case was identified to be an adult male in Teton County.
“Knowing we have safe and effective vaccines arriving is like seeing light at the end of a tunnel,” said Dr. Alexia Harrist. “We have an end in sight at this point, which was not true for many months during this pandemic. We have hope and a reminder that this situation is for now and not forever.”
