Wind River Mountains

If you'd like to getaway from it all and also experience a bit of Wyoming history, I found an interesting option. It's an old prospector's silo in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains that also happens to be an Airbnb.

A fire burning on the Shoshone National Forest has grown to more than 900 acres in size, but officials say containment has also grown to 30%.

The Sand Creek Fire burning on the Shoshone National Forest is still at 749 acres with no containment.

The fire was first reported on September 9 east of the Dickinson Park Guard Station in the Sand Creek Drainage.

The climber was 41.

The advisory is in effect from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday.
