Bryan Grzegorczyk is receiving some recognition of his decade of work on behalf of the Cheyenne community.

Grzegorczyk, or Alf as he is affectionately known, is the founder and energetic core of the venerable Cheyenne fundraising institution, Thankful Thursdays. Since its beginnings in 2009, the weekly 'Party with a Purpose' has raised nearly two million dollars for local charities.

In recognition of his efforts, Grzegorczyk has been awarded this year’s Wyoming Tribune Eagle Community Spirit Award.

Thankful Thursday continues its fall 2019 run with an evening of fun and fundraising this week (September 19) for The Friends of Youth Alternatives Board.

Thankful Thursdays are from 4:30 pm to 9-ish at AMVETS Post 10 in Cheyenne. It is actually possible to win money just for walking through the door. No need to cook dinner. There is always something on the menu and all proceeds from food sales go to the cause.
