The website StartClass recently published an article honoring the best high school in every state. Citing figures from the National Center For Educational Statistics, they ranked high schools in all 50 states based on each school's performance on a number of standardized tests.

According to their rankings, Star Valley High School in Afton, Wyoming, is the best in the Cowboy State. 82% of the 684 students at Star Valley tested proficient in math. 87% of students scored at or above a proficient level in reading and language arts.

By way of comparison, the state wide average for math proficiency scores was 63.8 percent. Meanwhile, 69.3% Wyoming high school students tested proficiently in reading and language arts.
