With the unofficial kickoff of summer coming this Memorial Day weekend, we’ll shake off winter hibernation mode and switch to “Let’s road trip!” time. Getting the RV, camper, car or motorcycle out and hitting the highway will clear the mind and lead us to where we find what we love most about the west, the great outdoors. There’s just one thing that needs to be done first, clear away some remaining snow. And that can get dangerous.

Check out how dangerous running a snowplow can be when you are inches from a thousand foot drop-off, courtesy 9news.

Wyoming 130 between Sarasota and Laramie not a through road yet, due to "seasonal closures." Highway 70 and US 14A are also affected. Wyoming 212 between Wyoming 296 and Beartooth Pass is expected to open May 27, as is Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Thank you to those who risk snow-slides, avalanches, storms and dropoffs to keep us rolling through The rocky Mountains.
