On the air we talk about "Party With A Purpose" on our Thankful Thursdays at The Redwood Lounge on E. Lincolnway in Cheyenne. We have great times, a lot of people go home with more money than they came with and the best part is, our community gets better every week because of them.

Last night, we raised more than $10,200 to help fund CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates. You won't meet or see the 200 children of Laramie County that are caught up in some horrific situations, but know that there are people who care and are actively helping these kids. You aren't physically there when the sheriff pulls a child out of a meth house or an abusive situation. But CASA is there, with the sole intent of looking after these young people who deserve so much better.

But you are there, through your support of CASA, and the MANY fine local charities are that are helped on our Thankful Thursdays. Since we started them in February of 2010, we have raised over $830,000 to help make Cheyenne a better place to live, for everyone. We're on our way to beat $1 MILLION, one party at a time.

Wanna help? Next week, April 7th, it's Habitat For Humanity  – Building safe and affordable housing in Laramie County. They strive to eliminate substandard and poverty housing creating partnerships with community donors and volunteers to provide housing for low-income families. Oh, and you'll have plenty of chances to win money, including 4 chances to win $500 for free!
