Torrential Warm Weather Ruins Plans For Cheyenne Ice Fishing
A few weeks back when the weather was more like you would expect during winter, a friend made plans for ice fishing with his brother who would be in town this past weekend. That didn’t happen.
Safety on ice calls for a check of the thickness the ice before ice fishing. You need 4” of clear solid ice for people, 8” for an ATV. This past weekend, there was no ice.
Mother Nature had different plans and instead of the ice making cold, she brought some heat that broke warm weather records two days in a row last week.
This warm weather is also a good time to water your trees and shrubs.
The cold weather, along with ice fishing, will return.
Now take a break, take the dog out for a walk and throw a stick. Then throw it again, and again and again, until your arm falls off. The dog will keep going forever.
