No injuries were reported in a house fire late Tuesday afternoon in the 1000 block of West 20th Street.

According to a release from the Cheyenne Fire Rescue Department, firefighters were called to the home around 4:10 p.m, arriving on the scene at 4:13.

Fire Rescue spokesman Scott Smith says firefighters found flames and smoke coming from the back entrance of the single-family home, and worked quickly to put out the blaze as it moved into the roof area.

Smith says the fire was under control in about ten minutes. Moderate damage was reported to the laundry room located in the back of the home, and smoke damage was reported throughout the house.
