The United Way of Laramie County will hold it's 3rd annual "Giving Tuesday" event on Tuesday December 2.

United Way of Laramie County Executive Director Connie Sloan-Cathcart says the day is designed to give people the chance to think about how they give to their community as opposed to ''Black Friday" and "Cyber Monday" sales events.

Sloan-Cathcart says locally people can post an "UNselfie" to United Way of Laramie County's Facebook page, with thoughts on giving back to the community. She also says that people can donate to the United Way of Laramie County's annual fundraising drive on have every donation matched 100 percent by local businesses on December 2..

She says you can also pledge to donate time to the local organization of your choice as a way of giving back.

Sloan-Cathcart says United Way of Laramie County helps fund over 25 local program partners ranging from Comea House to the Boys&Girls Club, among many others.
