USAF Thunderbirds Visit Cheyenne – In Pictures
The United States Air Force Demonstration Team, The Thunderbirds sliced through the sky over Cheyenne on Wednesday. The roar of the engines, the speed of 500 miles per hour, the planes flying in formation at times just three feet apart by some of the best pilots in the world. These are the elite, the ambassadors in blue. They are a blur during the show, but they are mighty impressive on the ground, bristling with power and a show of how The United States Of America can and will vigorously defend itself from those that would attack us.
Wyoming photographer Dana Gage managed to expertly capture the majesty and ferocity of these amazing machines and the crew that fly and care for these amazing machines of freedom, The F-16 Fighting Falcon
Their first civilian airshow was in Cheyenne in 1953 and this airshow displayed the cutting edge technology and the best of the best working together to expertly showcase the power and grace that intertwine for the defense of freedom and The United States Of America.
Testament to the best of America in technology and those who serve us all. Thank you Thunderbirds and Dana Gage for sharing.
